This exquisite little bell is made from gilding metal (a copper alloy, or brass) with a planished finish. Planishing is the process of tapping metal into specific shapes with a hammer. Its ring is high-toned and pure.
Little bells such as this one can be used as a gentle way to call children to supper, announce bedtime or to call a classroom to order.
Hand-crafted in Camphill Metal Workshop in Newton Dee Village in England.
It measures 2-1/4" diameter and 2-5/8" tall.
